Overrun

Overrun is a free city sandbox for Windows PC, currently in development. Explore on foot, drive through streets with traffic and pedestrians, or take the Roadster into flight.

The current PC build includes vehicle interaction, switchable driving views, headlights, four firearms, and keyboard, mouse and Xbox controller support. Optional sandbox codes let you try the available guns or summon the flying Roadster.

This is an early development build. Features and visuals are still being refined, and performance depends on your PC.

Download and play

Windows download: about 15.9 GB. Allow about 35 GB of free disk space for the ZIP and the extracted game.

1. Download the Windows ZIP.
2. Right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All. You only need to do this once.
3. Open the extracted folder and double-click Overrun.exe.

Keep all the game files together. The game includes its runtime files; Unreal Engine does not need to be installed. Your progress is saved locally on your PC.

If you use the itch app, choose Install, then Launch. The app handles downloading and extraction.

Requires a 64-bit Windows PC and a DirectX 12 graphics card. Xbox controllers are supported on PC. Specific CPU, RAM and GPU minimums have not been benchmarked for release.

Controls

WASD: move or drive · E: interact / enter / exit · L: headlights · F8: Roadster flight mode below 30 MPH. In flight, Space rises, Ctrl lowers, W thrusts and S brakes.

Xbox controller flight: in the Roadster below 30 MPH, wait for the doors to close, then hold LB and press X. A rises, B descends, RT/LT thrust/brake, and the left stick steers. Hold LB and press X again to land.

Hold Shift and type GUNZ for the four firearms and infinite money/ammunition; magazines and reloads remain active. Hold Shift and type FLY to summon the Roadster.

Content: gun violence, blood and vehicle collisions.
